MacBook Pro Line Art: Four Lid Positions
See how four lid positions change the MacBook Pro illustration. Choose a position and export it as SVG or PNG.

MacBook Pro is Apple’s professional notebook family. It comes in 14-inch and 16-inch sizes. Designers and developers often use it as their main work computer.
This Formline illustration uses the current 16-inch shape. The isometric view shows the screen and keyboard together. Adjust the lid to change the composition.
The screen, base and hinge
The hinge joins the screen to the base. Opening the lid changes the gap between them. That gap gives the line drawing a sense of depth.
The base includes the keyboard and a large trackpad. Speaker grilles run along the sides of the keyboard. Rounded corners and side ports complete the notebook’s outline.
Closed: a compact shape
At 0°, the lid covers the keyboard. The closed notebook takes up less space. Use it beside accessories or in a group of devices.

Partly open: an angled lid
At 60°, the lid forms a strong diagonal. The hinge is easy to see. Use this position in an article illustration or a sequence showing the notebook opening.

Working position: screen and keyboard visible
The model opens at 105° by default. You can see the screen and keyboard together. This position works well in a product page or workspace illustration.
Wide open: a lower screen
At 120°, the screen leans farther back. The notebook fills less vertical space. Try this position in a wide layout.

Set the lid position and export
The viewer supports lid openings from 0° to 120°. Four presets let you switch between the positions shown here. Choose a light or dark theme, then export the current position.
Choose SVG when you need to resize the artwork. Choose PNG when you need an image for a layout. Pair the notebook with a phone or tablet to show a product across devices.
Questions
Are these four different camera angles?
All four images use the same isometric view. Each image shows a different lid position.
Which MacBook Pro chip does this shape represent?
The illustration follows the current 16-inch MacBook Pro exterior. The 2026 model offers M5 Pro or M5 Max. This exterior design spans several model years, so its shape alone does not identify the chip.
