The first-generation iPod mini has a compact silver aluminium body with rounded sides. Its small display and circular Click Wheel define the front.

Click Wheel and top-edge ports

The display sits above the Click Wheel, with a separate center select button. A Hold switch, remote port, and headphone socket line the top edge; the Dock connector sits at the bottom.
